Light-duty bus sales improve overall by 2.4% in Q3 of FY 2024-25

India - Sales of light-duty buses (GVW of 7.5t & below) increased by 2.4% in Q3 of FY 2024/25, reaching 9,062 units compared with 8,852 units in Q3 of FY 2023/24. Production declined by 8.8% to 13,513 units, while exports saw a modest rise of 1.7% to 911 units.

In the minibus segment (GVW ≤ 5t, with more than 13 seats including the driver), domestic sales declined by 12.1%, registering 2,463 units in Q3 FY 2024 compared with 2,801 units in Q3 FY 2023. Production fell steeply by 19.3% to 3,265 (4,038), whereas exports improved to almost 300 vehicles from just 21 in the same quarter of 2023.
