Rigid truck sales dip 5% in Q3 of 2024-25

India - Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t GVW and above) in India declined by 5.1% in Q3 of FY 2024-25 to 60,215 units from 63,469 units in Q3 FY of 2023-24. Rigid truck exports increased by 44% totalling 3,182 units compared with 2,209 units in the same period last year. Meanwhile, production fell by 9.0% to 63,069 units in Q3 of FY 2024-25 from 69,302 units in Q3 FY 2023.

Sales of medium-duty rigid trucks (7.5t to 12t GVW) grew by 4.3% in Q3 FY 2024-25, reaching 9,854 units, up from 9,446 units in Q3 FY 2023-24. Exports increased by 6.4%, while production declined by 3.1%.
