Indian bus and coach sales (7.5t & above) rise 25.8% in Q3 of FY 2024-25

India – Domestic sales of buses (7.5t GVW and above) surged 25.8% in Q3 (October to December) FY 2024-25, reaching 13,627 units compared with 10,828 units in Q3 of FY 2023-24. Total bus production grew by 23.8% in the third quarter to 16,272, while exports rose by 5.9% to 2,948 units from 2,784 units in Q3 FY 2023-24.

Breaking it down by segment, medium-duty bus sales (ICV: 7.5–12 tonnes) increased by 20.7% to 6,244 units in Q3 FY 2024-25 from 5,172 units in Q3 FY 2023. Production in this range grew by 8.7% to 7,764 units, while exports climbed 25.2%.
