Wabash acquires cargo security technology for trailers

USAWabash National Corporation, a truck body and trailer manufacturer based in Lafayette, Indiana, has acquired ‘TrailerHawk.ai’, whose cargo security technology will be integrated with Wabash’s digital services.

TrailerHawk.ai’s technology, billed as a “cargo assurance solution”, allows operators to remotely track goods from pick-up to drop-off. The ‘Hawkeye’ mobile application validates carriers and driver before allowing them access to trailer cargo. Using the app, the internal cargo door locks can be remotely locked and unlocked during transit by the operator, and the handover of goods at the end of the trip is reported online by the driver.
