Tractor sales in India fall modestly (- 5.1%) in April to December FY 2024-25

India – Haulage tractor sales declined by 5.1% in the first three-quarters (April-December) of 2024-25, falling to 46,553 units from 49,054 units in the same period of 2023-24. Production dropped by 6.6%, while exports increased by 18.9%.

The light-weight tractor (26.4t < GVW ≤ 40t) segment saw 32.2% sales growth, reaching 5,358 units in Q1-Q3 of FY 2024-25, up from 4,052 units in Q1-Q3 of FY 2023-24. Production increased by 26.1%, while exports declined by 5.6%.
