Shyft and Isuzu renew and expand manufacturing partnership

USA / JapanThe Shyft Group Inc, a parent of several specialty truck brands based in Novi, Michigan, USA, has renewed a manufacturing partnership with Japanese OEM Isuzu Motors Ltd, with plans to upfit trucks produced at Isuzu’s new American plant.

The two companies have drawn up a plan to establish a dedicated truck upfit and modification centre which will be run by Shyft and located near Isuzu’s planned factory in Greenville, South Carolina. The plant will open in 2027 will produce up to 50,000 vehicles annually by 2030. Services provided by Shyft will include port-installed options, final vehicle modifications, and other upfit options.
