Hyundai launches upgraded Porter electric light truck

The newly-launched Hyundai Porter II Electric

South Korea - Hyundai Motor Company, headquartered in Seoul, launched an upgrade to its battery-powered Porter light truck in March, which it claims offers significant improvements in performance compared with its predecessor.

The new Porter II Electric now has a new 60.4 kilowatt-hour (kWh) lithium-ion battery, providing an urban driving range of 217 km per charge and significantly reduced charging times. The battery pack has also been raised to provide an additional 10 mm of road clearance, while an LED light has been placed above the charging port for better night-time visibility.
