Thailand’s CV sales plunge 55% in Q4 2024 from low levels

Thailand - The Thai commercial vehicle market over 2 tons gvw continued to deteriorate in the fourth quarter of 2025, with sales plunging by 55% to 30,498 units from already depressed year-earlier volumes - when the market dropped by 37% to 68,295 units, according to data from industry sources and some estimates.

By contrast, economic growth in the country continued to accelerate in the fourth quarter, to 3.2% year-on-year from 3.0% in the third quarter, following weaker growth in 2023. The economy in the fourth quarter was driven by stronger domestic consumption and exports.
