Vietnam’s CV market jumps 36% in Q4 2024

Vietnam – The commercial vehicle market over 2 tons gvw rebounded by 36% to 20,224 units in the fourth quarter of 2024 from depressed year-earlier sales of 14,877 units, based on member data collected by the Vietnam Automotive Manufacturers Association (VAMA).

Commercial vehicle sales in the fourth quarter benefited from a temporary 50% registration tax discount introduced by the government at the beginning of September, which expired at the end of November, while dealers launched aggressive promotional campaigns to lift sales.
