Westport to sell light duty business for USD73.1m

Canada / NetherlandsWestport Fuel Systems Inc, a supplier of fuel injection systems based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has announced it will divest from the light duty segment through a sale to a Dutch investment firm for USD73.1m.

Westport has agreed to sell its light-duty interests, including its OEM and independent aftermarket businesses, to a wholly-owned investment vehicle of Heliaca Investments Coöperatief UA for the sum of USD73.1m or EUR67.7m. Moreover, Westport is entitled to earnouts of up to USD6.5m if certain conditions are met.
