Webasto to shed 650 jobs in Germany by end of 2025

Germany – Webasto SE, a supplier of roof systems, HVAC, and battery packs based in Stockdorf, Bavaria, has announced that it will shed around 650 jobs in Germany, as part of efforts to restructure the company which began earlier this year.
The company management reached an agreement with its works council to reduce its workforce by around 650 jobs by the end of the year. Locations affected by the measures include Gilching, Hengersberg, Neubrandenberg, and Utting, in addition to the headquarters. Those who are made redundant will be offered a support package which will help them over a twelve-month period in transitioning to a new line of work with another company.
