Paccar Parts launches solar panels for trucks

Solar Panels

USA— Under its Paccar Parts Division, Paccar Inc. of Bellevue, Washington, USA, owner of several commercial truck brands, including DAF Truck NV of Eindhoven, Netherlands, has launched solar panels for truck cabs and trailers which help reduce fuel use and therefore CO2 emissions. Available in two lightweight sizes (55 Wp and 110 Wp), the panels charge batteries using solar energy and can power in-cab accessories without engine idling. Now available at over 1,100 DAF dealers across Europe, the panels offer a simple, sustainable solution for boosting fleet efficiency. The panels are manufactured by Swedish company, Dometic Group.
