Ebusco appoints Gotion representative as deputy CEO

Duan Wei, deputy CEO of Ebusco

Netherlands – Electric bus manufacturer Ebusco Holding NV, based in Deurne, has appointed Duan Wei, director at Gotion GmbH, as Deputy CEO in a move that deepens its strategic partnership with Chinese battery giant Gotion High-Tech after the company purchased 9.3% of the struggling e-bus manufacturer in an attempt to raise liquidity.  Wei will work under current CEO Christian Schreyer.

This leadership change reflects growing collaboration between the companies, who have worked together since 2018. Gotion’s advanced battery technology and strong presence in Asia are expected to support Ebusco’s innovation, expand its market reach and enhance financial stability. This could be a masterstroke, considering the global trade war going on between Washington and Beijing. Duan’s appointment, along with Gotion’s Chen Li joining Ebusco’s Supervisory Board, signals a concerted effort to align strategies for future growth.
