MAN teases battery electric coach to be launched at Busworld 2025

GermanyMAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of Traton based in Munich, Bavaria, has released information on an upcoming battery electric coach which will be launched at this year’s Busworld in October and produced from next year in Turkey – which will make it the first European manufacturer to launch a fully electric coach.

The ‘Lion’s Coach 14 E’ is based on the diesel-powered ‘Lion’s Coach’ range which MAN has produced in Ankara, Turkey since 1996. The model which MAN will display at Busworld will be a 13.9-metre coach with three axles and a gross vehicle weight of 27.3 tons. It will accommodate up to 61 passengers and up to 13 cubic metres of luggage space.
