Volvo pushes back launch of 600-km electric truck to Q2 2026

The FH Aero Electric with 600km range from Volvo

SwedenVolvo Trucks Corporation of Gothenburg, Sweden has announced it will formally launch its 600-km battery electric truck in the second quarter of 2026 instead of later this year as originally planned, though it is now inviting potential buyers to submit letters of intent.

The ‘FH Aero Electric’ truck will have more onboard energy storage thanks to the addition of a new powertrain based on an e-axle announced at IAA 2022. Volvo has revealed that the new truck will be able to carry up to eight battery packs, providing up to 780 kilowatt hours of energy capacity. With fast charging, Volvo claims the truck can be recharged from 20% to 80% in approximately 40 minutes during the driver’s statutory break.
