Netherlands / China – In a significant move to strengthen its position in the European electric bus market, Chinese battery manufacturer Gotion High-tech Co Ltd based in Hefei, has increased its stake in Dutch electric bus maker Ebusco Holding NV, based in Deurne, to 10%. This follows the initial acquisition shareholding and the appointment of Duan Wei, director at Gotion GmbH, as Deputy CEO and Additionally, Chen Li, head of Gotion's American business, joined Ebusco's Supervisory Board and now chairs its Nomination Committee.

The increased stake was achieved through the issuance of around 4.9 million new shares at EUR 0.8209 per share, the same price as Ebusco's November 2024 rights issue. The proceeds from this share issuance were used to settle outstanding accounts payable that Ebusco owed to Gotion.
