Germany – Munich-based retrofitter Keyou GmbH* has partnered with Bücker + Essing**, a German engine reconditioning expert, to convert existing diesel engines to hydrogen combustion engines. The companies aim to retrofit over 1,000 new engines by the end of 2028. Starting in 2029, the partners then plan to expand the programme to include the retrofitting of used vehicles (rather than just the engine itself), with a target of converting approximately 5,000 engines annually. This will help the customer ramp-up of hydrogen-powered vehicles and aligns with Keyou’s broader strategy to offer "H2 Mobility as a Service," providing holistic hydrogen solutions for zero-emission transportation.

Keyou recently partnered with Hypion GmbH*** to give customers of its hydrogen combustion trucks access to green hydrogen refuelling at Hypion’s Neumünster station in Germany. The collaboration enhances Keyou’s all-inclusive mobility package and supports the broader adoption of hydrogen in heavy-duty transport.
