Germany – In May, MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of Traton based in Munich, Bavaria, officially launched its ‘Charge&Go’ service for all operators, regardless of the brand of truck they drive, making it easier to locate and pay for charging enroute.

With MAN’s Charge&Go service, drivers can find truck-compatible charging stations and pay with a special card that authenticates the driver and bills the operator at the end of each month. Using MAN applications – for example, its ‘DriverApp’ – drivers can locate approximately 650 stations in Europe which are certified as “eTruck ready” or truck compatible. Some of these locations are described as “limited”, e.g., there may be restrictions on vehicle length.
