LCV trucks sales fall by 2.3% to just shy of 140,000 units in Q4 2024/25

India - Sales of LCV goods carrier vehicles (trucks) with a GVW ≤ 7.5t decreased by 2.3% to 139,765 units in January to March 2025 (Q4 of FY2024/25) from 142,995 units in same period of FY 2023/24. Production of LCV trucks fell by 0.8%, while exports grew strongly by 60.2% to more than 14,000 vehicles.

The lightest truck segment in this weight of GVW ≤ 2t saw sales decline by 18.5% to 39,601 units (48,617 units in Q4 of FY2023/24) and production reflecting this with output down by by 7.6% at 43,092 (46,628); exports rose nearly 10% to over 1,500 units.
