LCV bus sales enjoys good levels of growth in Q4 2024/25

India - Sales of light-duty buses and coaches (7.5t & below) rose strongly in Q4 of FY2024/25 (January to March 2025) by 19.4% to register 18,310 units compared with 15,333 units in Q4 of FY2023/24. Production, however, decreased by 6.1% from 21,405 units to 20,099 units, but exports were up by 28.3% from 1,459 units to 1,872 units.

In the minibus segment (GVW ≤ 5 tons no. of seats including the driver exceeding 13) domestic sales decreased by 2.7% to register 4,211 units in Q4 of FY 2024/25 from 4,330 units in Q4 of FY 2023/24. Production decreased by 20.3% by more than 1,000 units to 4,159 (5,221), while exports fell by 46.2%.
