Rigid truck sales dip 2.1% in Q4 of 2024-25

India - Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t gvw and above) in India experienced a decline of 2.1% in Q4 (January to March) of FY 2024/25 to register 71,614 units from 70,149 units in same quarter of fiscal year 2023/24. Production of the rigid trucks increased by 4.4% to 72,176 units in Q4 of FY 2024/25 from 69,139 units in the Q4 of the previous year, whereas export sales rose by 45.2% to 3,323 units compared with 2,288 units in the same quarter of the previous year.
Sales of medium-duty rigid trucks (7.5t to 12 tons) grew by 9.6% to register 11,419 units in Q4 of FY 2024/25, up from 10,420 units in Q4 of FY 2023/24. Exports grew by 28.8% and production increased by 0.4%.
