MAN expands Salzgitter spare parts centre by 30%

MAN Logistics Centre Salzgitter in Lower Saxony

Germany – In May, MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of Traton based in Munich, Bavaria, completed the expansion of its spare parts hub in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony, adding an extra 53,000 square metres for the storage of e-mobility and engine components.

‘MAN Logistics Centre Salzgitter’ has grown by 30% to a total size of approximately 235,000 square metres, capable of storing more than 220,000 parts. MAN expects that half of all its new vehicle deliveries by 2030 will be powered by electric; as such, it has created room at Salzgitter for up to 12,000 e-mobility components, including batteries. The centre will also accommodate parts for Traton’s modular engine platform which are shared by MAN sister brands Scania, International, and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus.
