Tractor sales dip 2.2% in FY 2024/25

India - Total tractor sales slipped 2.2% during FY 2024/25 to register 67,574 units compared with 69,115 units in the previous year (FY2023/24). Tractor production decreased by 3.7% from 70,196 units to 67,623 units, but exports rose by 68.6%.

The 26.4 < GVW ≤ 40t segment saw sales rise by 51.6% to 9,231 units from 6,091 units. Production of tractors in the 26.4 < GVW ≤ 40t category increased by 109.8% to 6,557 units and exports rose by almost a third. The duopoly of tata and Ashok Leyland continues.
