India – The Indian government has funded and supported five pilot projects aimed at deploying hydrogen-fuelled vehicles as part of its ambitious National Green Hydrogen Mission. Announced by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, these projects are intended to assess the feasibility and performance of hydrogen as a clean fuel for heavy-duty transport.

A total of 37 vehicles, including coaches and trucks, will be deployed on 10 different routes across the country. Of these, 15 are to operate using hydrogen fuel cell technology, while the remaining 22 will be powered by hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2-ICEs).
