Mack launches new Anthem generation

The Mack Anthem

USAMack Trucks Inc, a subsidiary of Volvo based in Greensboro, North Carolina, has launched a new generation of heavy regional-haul truck in its ‘Anthem’ range which is shorter and more fuel efficient than the previous generation.

The new Class 8 truck has a bumper-to-back-of-cab length of 113.5 inches, 3.5 inches shorter than the preceding Anthem generation and a full 12 inches shorter than the newly-released ‘Pioneer’ range. Mack says the new Anthem is more manoeuvrable than before, providing the driver with greater forward visibility (up to 12 feet closer to the front of the bumper) than the previous model. Despite its shorter length, the new Anthem’s cab is wider by nine inches and offers the same amount of interior space as the Pioneer.
