Demand for CVs in the Philippines accelerates in Q1 2025

Philippines - The Philippine market for commercial vehicles over 2 tons gvw expanded by over 16% to 32,558 units in the first quarter of 2025, after growing by 5% to 27,959 units in the same period last year, according to data derived from local industry sources including the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA).

The Philippine economy expanded by 5.4% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025, slightly better than the revised 5.3% growth seen in the fourth quarter of 2024 – underpinned by stronger domestic consumption and export growth.
