Germany / ItalyIveco Bus (a brand of the Iveco Group NV), based in Turin, used the 2025 UITP Summit in Hamburg (June 15–18, 2025) to make some significant contract announcements, including an order for 100 articulated 18-metre E-Way electric buses from Flemish public transport operator De Lijn, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2026. The company also delivered 13 E-Way midibuses to EMT Malaga, as part of a 19-unit order. Representatives from the company also told us that Iveco Bus has won a contract in the Azores to supply electric buses, though no specific details such as the number of vehicles, delivery timeframe, or vehicle models were disclosed.

At the summit, Iveco announced a strategic partnership with ABB focused on high-power charging infrastructure for bus depots and opportunity charging hubs, aimed at delivering turnkey charging solutions for operators. This agreement complements the roll-out of their E‑Way fleet.
