New Flyer to supply up to 750 diesel artics to NJ Transit

USANew Flyer of America Inc, a subsidiary of NFI based in Crookston, Minnesota, has signed a contract to supply up to 750 diesel articulated buses to New Jersey Transit Corporation, the state-owned provider of public transportation in New Jersey and parts of New York and Pennsylvania.

The contract stipulates a firm order for two hundred buses, to be delivered beginning in 2026, plus options to acquire up to 550 more. Up to 750 ‘Xcelsior’ 60-foot artics could be ordered by NJ Transit. New Flyer says it is one of the largest orders in the company’s history.
