Sunsundegui goes into liquidation

Spain – Earlier this year, Sunsundegui SA of Alsasua, Spain, a coachbuilder specialising in luxury and interurban vehicles, went into liquidation, according to a local news report (in Spanish).
The report says that, despite a large orderbook, Sunsundegui failed to attract any investors willing to take on the company and its more than EUR50m debt. The last interested investor – the Belgian businessman, Guido Dumarey, who rescued the WN VTech group from bankruptcy in 2023 – withdrew his offer in April, leading to the end of the company shortly thereafter. More than three hundred people were employed by Sunsundegui prior to its collapse.
