Germany Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, is broadening its eActros 600 electric truck lineup with several new variants aimed at meeting diverse operational demands across long-haul and distribution sectors. Building on the “core strengths of the second-generation eActros, namely its in-house electric drive axle, lithium‑iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells, 800-volt architecture, and Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2”, these new versions are being designed to better match varying payload and range requirements.

According to Daimler, “among the announced additions are semitrailer tractors and platform‑chassis models featuring extended wheelbase configurations, alternative long‑cab designs with different roof profiles, and options with just two battery packs instead of the standard three.” The dual‑battery setup, totalling around 414 kWh, is intended to address more distribution-style missions, effectively replacing the outgoing first-generation eActros 300/400 models.
