Mercedes-Benz appoints Claudia Malkus as head of van plant in Düsseldorf

GermanyMercedes-Benz Group AG of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg has appointed Claudia Malkus as head of production and site at the van plant in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, effective 1 October.

Malkus joined Mercedes-Benz in 2012 as a planning engineer at the Hamburg plant, where the company produces various chassis components such as axles and steering columns. In 2018, she moved to a Mercedes car plant in Mexico before returning to Germany in 2023 to her current role as director of battery production in Europe. She will replace Michael Hellman, who is leaving the company, in the role at Düsseldorf.
