3.0 App
Germany – Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Baden-Württemberg, has launched its innovative 3.0 App as part of the digital ecosystem supporting its new eActros 600 electric long-haul truck. The app is designed to serve both drivers and fleet operators by offering real-time information, smart vehicle insights, and tools that streamline electric truck operation across Europe. This is expected to complement the continued rollout of the eActros 600 in markets such as Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
The 3.0 App serves several key purposes. For drivers, it acts as a digital co-pilot, showing live range updates, charging station locations along their routes, and energy consumption data based on load and terrain. This makes route planning for electric vehicles more predictable and efficient. Drivers can also monitor battery health and receive notifications about charging status or potential maintenance issues. For fleet operators, the app is a management tool that tracks the status of multiple trucks in real time, providing analytics on energy usage, vehicle availability, and overall efficiency. It also supports remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance, which helps reduce downtime and improve operational performance.
