MAN receives largest order to date for electric buses from Spain

MAN electric buses for Valencia, Spain

Germany / Spain – MAN Truck & Bus SE, a subsidiary of Traton based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, has received an order for 84 battery electric and hybrid buses from the Empresa Municipal de Transportes de Valencia, the state-owned transport operator for the Spanish city of Valencia.

The order, valued at around EUR50m, is for 57 ‘Lion’s City 12 E’ buses, powered by pure electric drivelines, and 27 ‘Lion’s City 18’ artics with MAN’s ‘EfficientHybrid’ technology. MAN says it is the largest order for electric buses it has received from a Spanish operator.
