USA – Certain assets of bankrupt truck manufacturer Nikola Corporation of Phoenix, Arizona were bought at auction earlier in August by a firm called Hyroad Energy, which plans to put Nikola fuel cell trucks back on the road and support existing customers.

The company reportedly acquired 113 fuel cell trucks along with spare parts, proprietary software, and intellectual property sold in a bankruptcy auction for an undisclosed amount. Hyroad Energy says it has the software and operational infrastructure necessary to deploy and refuel the fleet; it will establish maintenance and parts facilities to support its customers as well as those fleets who acquired trucks from Nikola before it went bankrupt.
