UKULEMCo Ltd of Liverpool, UK has signed a memorandum of understanding with green hydrogen producer Protium of London to supply fuel to customers driving ULEMCo’s dual-fuel and fuel cell vehicles in southern England and Wales.

Under the terms of the agreement, Protium will supply green hydrogen directly to local transport operators and depots that employ ULEMCo’s vehicles. These commercial vehicles are retrofitted to run on hydrogen as well as diesel (“dual-fuel” conversion). The company is also developing a platform that will use Toyota’s fuel cell module to run exclusively on hydrogen. Protium will also support ULEMCo in developing and demonstrating new vehicles and in lobbying the government for further policies and funding that benefit the hydrogen economy.
