MCI receives additional order for 97 diesel coaches for Toronto

The D45 CRT coach from MCI

USA / Canada – Motor Coach Industries, a subsidiary of NFI based in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA, has received a follow-up order for 97 diesel coaches from transport agency Metrolinx, which placed an initial order for 80 vehicles earlier this year.

The new firm order for 97 45-foot ‘D45 CRT’ commuter coaches makes use of the additional options granted in the original contract. It brings the total number of coaches on order to 177, replacing Metrolinx’s “aging fleet” according to MCI.
