Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies marks a major production milestone with the Endurant transmission

Official handover at the Kenworth Truck Plant in Chillicothe, Ohio

USA — The 50:50 joint venture between Ohio-based power management firm, Eaton Corporation and Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana (Eaton Cummins Automated Transmission Technologies Inc*) has just celebrated the production of its 500,000th Endurant automated transmission, a landmark that highlights its long-standing role as a leader in commercial vehicle drivetrain innovation. The milestone unit was delivered to the Kenworth Truck Plant in Chillicothe, Ohio, and ceremoniously presented to Werner, a fleet that was among the first to adopt the Endurant platform back in 2017.

The Endurant transmission family, encompassing variants such as the HD, HD V, HD N, XD, XD Pro, and XD N, serves both on-highway and vocational markets. Its distinguishing features “include a lightweight design, advanced software, driver-friendly operation, and a broad application range across commercial vehicles.” The team achieved this half-million milestone with steadfast partnerships and product performance proving its durability, fuel efficiency, and value, principles that have defined the platform since its debut in 2017.
