Battery electric Ram pickup shelved due to falling demand

Ram's battery electric pickup truck, now discontinued

USAFCA US LLC (“Stellantis North America”) has announced that it will discontinue development of a battery electric ‘Ram 1500’ pickup truck, following a decline in demand for electric vehicles in the North American market.

The battery electric truck was first announced in 2021 and revealed in 2023 under the name ‘Ram 1500 REV’ (Revolution Electric Vehicle). The vehicle was to be powered by dual motors developing 654 horsepower. 168-kWh lithium-ion batteries supplied by LG were to provide a range of up to 350 miles.
