International launches customer pilots with Plus self-driving truck

USA – International Motors LLC, a subsidiary of Traton based in Lisle, Illinois, has announced the launch of customer trials of its self-driving trucks, installed with autonomous drive technology developed by PlusAI Inc of Santa Clara, California.
An autonomous tractor unit will be deployed in the state of Texas in pilot trials with select fleet operators. It will run between the cities of Laredo and Dallas on Interstate 35, the north-south highway that connects Texas with the state of Minnesota. The truck will be remotely monitored from International’s dedicated “autonomous hub” in San Antonio.
