Daimler Buses electrifies Stuttgart depot for SSB

Germany – Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH (owned by Daimler Truck AG of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany) has completed a major electrification project at the Stuttgart-Möhringen depot of Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB), enabling overnight charging for the city’s growing fleet of eCitaro buses.
The project delivered 28 charging points, each with up to 180 kW capacity, using inverted pantographs to charge buses simultaneously. Partners Omexom and Power Electronics supplied and installed the hardware, while Daimler acted as general contractor, integrating charging management and structural works.
