Tupy has reached an agreement to purchase MWM from Navistar for an estimated BRA 865 million (USD180m), subject to customary legal clearances, which is to be paid by Tupy after closing.

MWM has announced the renewal of an agreement for the assembly of the MAN D08 and D26 engines that equip VW buses, medium-duty, semi-heavy and extra-heavy trucks at MWM’ s Santo Amaro plant.
