The JV, which is called Tata Katcon Composites S.A. de C.V., is expected to produce body and a selection of structural components for both body and chassis of passenger and commercial vehicles.

The joint venture will acquire Valeo’s Indian lighting business, operating currently under Valeo Lighting Systems (VLS).

The company claims that it has delivered some 1,500 electric buses to date.
