Solutrans 2023 was held between 21-25 November at Eurexpo in Lyon, France. Over 1,000 exhibitors and 50,000 guests gathered for the 17th edition of this historic show, centred around the European heavy and light commercial vehicle industry.

Telma’s system, which includes a retarder and generator, is connected to a 10-kWh battery pack for storing the electrical energy recovered from waste heat energy generated by braking. 

Telma’s retarders for commercial vehicles do not use drag force from brake pads to slow the vehicle down; instead, they are “induction” or “eddy current” brakes which use electromagnetism to dissipate the kinetic energy as heat, thus slowing the vehicle down without any friction.
