Gründler takes over from Renschler as head of Traton SE

Germany - Matthias Gründler, who was until 2018 CFO of Traton SE of Munich, the holding company of the CV brands of MAN (HQ: Munich, Germany), Scania (HQ: Södertälje, Sweden) and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus (HQ: Resende, Brazil) on July 16, 2020 took over the role of chair and CEO of the Board of Management at Traton, from Andreas Renschler.

Gründler was born in Stuttgart (Germany) in 1965. He completed training as an industrial management assistant and studied business administration. Gründler joined Daimler AG in 1986. After holding a variety of management positions in Germany and abroad, he was named Chief Finance Officer at Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks & Bus Corporation in Japan in 2008. Three years later, he took over management of the Powertrain Procurement and Business Development unit at Daimler Trucks & Buses. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Daimler Trucks & Buses, responsible for Finance and Controlling, from 2012 to 2015.
