Daimler Truck engages services of Cummins for future global medium-duty engine development and production

Germany / USA - Daimler Truck AG of Stuttgart, Germany (a division of Daimler AG) and engine manufacturer, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana have signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a global strategic partnership for medium-duty engine systems - other opportunities for collaboration are also being evaluated.

The memorandum engages Cummins to be responsible for further development of medium-duty engine systems for Daimler Trucks and Buses and, from the the second half of this decade, it will be responsible also for the global production and delivery of medium-duty Cummins engines for Daimler Trucks and Buses.
