Iveco signs MoU with Plus for development of autonomous trucks

Italy / USA – Iveco SpA of Turin, part of CNH Industrial NV, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Plus, a Silicon Valley, California, USA-based developer of autonomous trucking systems, to jointly develop autonomous Iveco trucks.

Under the terms of the non-binding MOU, Iveco and Plus will integrate latest- generation S-WAY diesel heavy-duty trucks with the PlusDrive full-stack autonomous driving system. The co-operation will also explore using Iveco’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) engine system to power the jointly developed autonomous trucks.
