USA – Autonomous vehicle specialist Kodiak Robotics Inc, based in Mountain View, California, has announced a fourth generation of its autonomous truck system. Built upon a Kenworth T680 heavy duty truck, Kodiak’s system features a suite of sensors and features that support its autonomous capabilities, including lidar, radar, cameras, and tyre sensors.
The fourth-generation truck features a modular set of three sensors located on the tractor unit. The first is a low profile ‘centre pod’ located on the front roofline of the truck, with two more pods integrated into the side mirrors.
