Gillig partners with Akasol to provide 32% increase in battery capacity

USA / Germany Heavy-duty transit bus manufacturer Gillig, based in Livermore, California, has announced that the latest battery system to feature in its low floor vehicles will offer up to 686kWh of capacity. The company claims that this is the largest battery capacity of any North American transit bus.
