Battery-electric Nikola Tre truck approved for incentive scheme by California Air Resources Board

USA Nikola Corporation, a designer of zero-emission vehicle concepts based in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced that its upcoming battery-electric truck has been deemed eligible by the California Air Resources Board1 for its low and zero-emission commercial vehicle incentive scheme, meaning that Nikola’s customers in California can qualify for a USD120,000 incentive per truck. 

The ‘Nikola Tre’ battery-electric truck has been approved for the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project, which was launched in 2009 and is administered by non-profit consortium CALSTART, an advocate for cleaner transportation based in Pasadena, California.
