BYD secures more than 50% of the bus and coach registrations in Colombia in the first half of 2022

Colombia – Bus and coach registrations for the first six months of 2202 totalled 1,333 units compared with 704 units in the same period of 2021, according to ANDEMOS (National Association for Sustainable Mobility). Electric bus supplier, BYD, registered 690 units during the period, a massive rise compared with 92 units registered in the same period of 2021.
In January BYD won cumulative orders to supply 1,002 units all electric buses to the capital of Colombia, Bogotá. Like the 470 bus models delivered by BYD to Bogotá in December 2020, this batch of 1002 buses also includes 9-metre and 12-metre.
